The Kitchen at Sandy Oaks

The Kitchen at Sandy Oaks

I love good food and the memories it conjures.  I love seeing the satisfaction people feel when they have been served a delectable meal.  I was blessed with a family of great cooks on both sides.  Some of my fondest memories are of our family gathering around a holiday table laden with delicious foods and with traditional stories that accompanied the meal as we sat and ate and laughed for hours.  Other memories involve the fabulous meals I ate in restaurants, food stands, farms and homes I visited in the countries where I traveled.

Fortunately, many of the people who work here are amazing, creative cooks and absolute foodies.  Pleasant hours are spent talking about and developing great recipes and culinary treats that we sell on our web store or that can be picked up at the gate at Sandy Oaks.  Our tapenade, brined olives, various jellies, vinegars, salts and olive nut brittles are all made here in the Kitchen at Sandy Oaks.

From time to time I will share recipes that are part of my family tradition and new recipes that we have developed here.  Many of our recipes are already on the website in the recipe section.

I hope you enjoy the recipes we share as much as we enjoy preparing them.
